Taking Over

A couple of months ago, when T. and I seemed to be settling into a weekend stay over routine, I carved out a little space for her in the medicine cabinet. I also emptied a dresser drawer, which was promptly filled with nighties, underwear, sweaters, and several extra pairs of reading glasses.

A couple of weeks later, she left a few dresses, so I shoved some of my summer clothes into boxes to make room for these.

This morning I decided to run a load of laundry. As I emptied the hamper into the machine, I noticed T. had left a pair of dirty jeans and a t-shirt as well as her usual socks and panties.

I thought, She's gonna need another drawer here.

I sound like I'm complaining, but I'm not. Seeing her products on the bathroom sink, her shampoo and conditioner in the shower, or the outfits hanging off the canopy of my bed, is a kind of comfort. It's evidence that she intends to return, soon.

Before I threw the jeans in, I took a moment to hold them up and admire the long, lean legs. Even her silky, lacy unmentionables, so much more feminine and fussy than anything I would ever choose to wear, are dear to me.

You know what ... it really is great to hear that you and T are doing so well.

It's a far cry from the first post of yours I read, all those long months ago, when you were posting about The Runner and others.

Congrats!

But when T starts leaving the boxers with skid-marks, then you'll know for certain that both he and she are there to stay.

Ook ook
